hello, I'm sian! welcome to mindful little mamas

Hi, I'm Sian! Mother of two sassy but wildly different little girls, and mother to my fur-baby Crumpet our Cockapoochon puppy and official boss of the family.

This is normally the part where people write about their previous careers that ended abrubtly when they had their first child and they realised they wanted to pursue a new path in birth and all things baby. That’s not my story though. I have been utterly mesmerised (and yes a little bit obsessed) with all things pregnancy and baby related since I was old enough to hold a baby myself. It’s a vocation, a calling, it’s in my blood.

Over the course of my adult life I have worked in most industries that involved little ones, from Nursery Nurse and Nanny to Pregnancy and Baby Massage, Childminder, Baby First Aid Teacher – you name it I’ve done it! Even my degree included Early Childhood Studies.

I’ve had one “natural birth” and one “belly birth” (c-section) very different experiences both with their own highs and lows and both very much highlighting the importance of being able to access impartial, evidence based information and non judgmental support right from the very beginning of your adventure into motherhood.

I know what it feels like to be pregnant and terrified of birth. I know what it feels like when postnatal depression hits you like a bus, and I know what it feels like to walk into your first baby class and feel so utterly alone. I don’t want any of the mums (or

dads!) in my care to ever feel like that and I go out of my way to make sure they feel listened to and cared about.
